WHAT WE DO

Ozlite aims to ensure that the highest standard of environmental care is achieved and is continually seeking new ways to maintain and improve these high standards.  Ozlite is keen to ensure that all relevant environmental legislation is met.

Every employee through their work, has a potential impact on our environment and is expected to adhere to Ozlite policy in relation to the environment.

Through continuous education on the environmental impact of our services – our employees, suppliers and contractors are able use this awareness to respond accordingly to their environmental responsibilities.

In particular employees are required to:

  • Correctly dispose of office paper and other office waste in the appropriately labelled bins
  • Dispose of chemicals and other hazardous wastes only in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Adhere to any other company or legal requirements in relation to the use of equipment and the disposal of waste.
  • Respect all Ozlite property and comply with storage and handling procedures.

Current Recycling Programs

Used printer toners are recycled through the “Close the Loop “program. All used printer toner cartridges are to be placed in the “Close the Loop” bin.

Fluorescent Tubes/Globes are recycled through “Eco-cycling”. All Fluorescent Tubes/Globes which are to be disposed of, are to be placed in the Warehouse in the “Fluorescent Tubes/Globes” recycling box.

Metal products are recycled through “Knox Metal Recyclers Pty Ltd”. All metal offcuts/products are to be placed into the metal recycling bins located in the Warehouse.

Cardboard is recycled through Premier Waste.  All Cardboard is to be flattened and placed in the Cardboard recycling bin in the Warehouse.

Where possible, used office paper is to be shredded.  This shredded paper is then placed into the warehouse, where it is reused as packaging.

Disused office equipment is recycled through the “E-waste” drop off collections. This drop off is completed as required. Please see our IT Officer who will advise storage of such items until drop off occurs.
